1990’s Style HIP HOP SONGS with Male Vocals are U-R-G-E-N-T-L-Y needed by a fast-growing, Non-Exclusive Production Music Library that’s sending music directly to the Music Supervisor of a particular show on a popular TV network. They’re searching for gritty, Mid-to-Up Tempo Songs that fall in the general stylistic wheelhouse of artists like (but not limited to), Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Jay-Z, etc., etc., etc. Please listen to the following references the client gave us to get yourself in the general ballpark of the sound they need:

“C.R.E.A.M.” by Wu-Tang Clan
“Affirmative Action” by Nas
“Dead Presidents” by Jay-Z

Please submit edgy Hip-Hop Songs that have a convincingly genuine ‘90s feel, style, and vibe. Your submissions should be well-crafted, with banging beats, and an attitude-filled vocal performance. Your songs do not have to be vintage 1990’s masters, but they should sound like they could be from that era, sonically and stylistically speaking. If you’ve got any original pieces that actually date back to that era, this Music Library will probably do cartwheels

Lyric themes can vary, but should be era appropriate. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced bands or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for tempo, texture, and tone. Era-Appropriate Broadcast Quality is needed. If it sounds too good, that’s not a good thing for this pitch!

You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit for this pitch. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis – No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Monday, March 27th, 2017.
